Like many graduates, I didn't know what to do after university.

I didn't have a lot work experience, but from the few tutoring gigs and sports coaching I did on the side, I knew the one thing I was good at and passionate about was helping others achieve something meaningful (cheesy, I know). And recruitment offered me the chance to do just that in a very personalised and tangible way.

• My first job was at a London-based recruitment agency, where I recruited for top consultancies like McKinsey, KPMG, and Accenture.
• Realising an aggressive sales environment wasn't for me, I moved into an in-house recruitment role at The Walt Disney Company, where I began to recruit across HR and various corporate functions.
• An unexpected redundancy then paved the way for an opportunity at Howden, a leading insurance broker, where I continue to hire HR professionals today.

As an experienced HR recruiter, I've reviewed hundreds of CVs, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles within the HR niche. I interview candidates everyday and work closely with hiring managers to understand what they look for in ideal candidates, from interns through to experienced team leads and managers.

Suffice to say, I know what good looks like. I know what methods, practices, and approaches get YOU hired and promoted.
